The Rainier Christian School District welcomes international students interested in a program designed to span 4th through 12th grade, and is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant (F-1) students. Our past students have found the environment at RCS has enabled them thrive in their grasp of the English language, as well as equipping them to be fully prepared for college and career upon graduation.
While we make college and career preparation our key priority, we have been established as a school that seeks to glorify God and to exalt the name of Jesus Christ in all we do. We are committed to preach the gospel in and through our classes to both the students and their families. While we do not require the student to be a Christian, we invite them to come with a desire to learn how the knowledge of Christ is a true foundation for becoming an effective student and productive employee in the workplace.
In an effort to ensure that our school is a good fit for your international student, and to help determine if they will be successful, please see below for a list of the application steps:
Fill out and return the Student Interview form. We request that the student work on this form by themselves without the help of a translator. Also, please read the Student Handbook.
Schedule a time for a phone/Skype interview with the a DSO, or the PDSO, of the district. This will give us the necessary context to determine the student’s grasp of the spoken English language to ensure that RCS will be a good fit, and that they will be successful.
Provide any test scores that the student has completed (TOEFL, ITEP, etc)
Once application approval is given, and the registration fees/payment are received, a meeting with the family will be schedule to create the i-20 form. Have the enrollment form completed for the creation of the i-20.
Please note that RCS does not provide ESL services. We also do not organize housing or accommodations.
If you would like to start the process, or would like further information, please contact the PDSO, Justin Evans.
