2018 RCS Auction Results!

Dear RCS Family and Friends,

This was an exciting year for the RCS auction committee as we were able to host a free silent auction for the first time in many years. April 13th 2018, over 150 families gathered at the high school to enjoy a casual evening of fellowship, food and fun. There were hundreds of unique auction packages to bid on and free gift card raffle giveaways to conclude the evening. The desire was to create a relaxing atmosphere for our families to come together with their children and build community; and our feedback was this was exactly how it felt!

On April 14th, we gathered at the Renton Pavilion for a semi-formal plated dinner, wine too, and a stellar silent and live auction.

Last year we dedicated our fund-a-need to kick starting a building campaign for a multi-purpose building on our Kent View campus. This year Mr. Kelly was able to unveil preliminary drawings for the first phase of this project!

At both of these events we were able to raise a net amount right around $140,000 ; my goal was to bring in $150,000 this year. A few days went by and we were wrapping up all the post auction tasks when a gentleman reached out to me and asked if we reached out auction goals for the year. Admittedly I let him know we were about $10,000 shy of our goal. He then asked if I had time to swing by his office to pick up a check for $10,000. I was once again reminded of the goodness of God!

We truly are blessed to have so many supporters of our mission to "Educate and Develop our children for the glory of God." Thank you to every single one of you who attended and were a part of this giving. I pray God prospers and blesses you in all areas of life.

May God bless you and may God continue to bless Rainier Christian Schools.

2017 RCS Auction Results!

May 2, 2017

Dear RCS Family and Friends,

Last Saturday 250 people came together at the RCS annual auction. Our venue changed this year to the Renton Pavilion where everyone enjoyed each other’s company, took home a few neat items, listened to the plans that RCS has for its future and most importantly recognized the one God who cares enough to have a plan for us.

Soemtimes I have a hard time getting started with writing these letters, but then I thought about the opening prayer Mr. Jaime gave us as we gathered together. Psalm 150: “Praise the Lord...Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”

We were blessed by so many families on Saturday that wanted to praise the Lord! During our silent and live auctions, and our fund‐a‐need event, we received gifts that exceeded $160,000! These gifts will directly go to our building fund project and our general fund. In addition, because we reached our goal of bringing in over $50,000 during the fund‐a‐need, we will receive a $50,000 matching donation from the McLeary Family Foundation, bringing our overall weekend total to over $210,000! Praise the Lord!

This will help RCS to continue providing outstanding Christian education to so many great kids and is a great launch of our new building campaign. Thank you to every single one of you who attended and were a part of this giving. I pray God prospers and blesses you in all areas of life.

If you did not have the opportunity to attend the auction, but want to be a part of the giving that went on, please go to our website and give. Send a check in the mail and give. Drop by the district office and give. We are all serving someone so much bigger than us!

We have a lot of great things happening at RCS and we would love for you to be a big part of our future.

May God bless you and may God continue to bless Rainier Christian Schools.
